MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Plastruct clear sheet copolyester a.k.a. PET-G is used by many modelers, clearer than styrene. Glue it in with flexible white glue. Can be heat molded too. Love your project, looks neatly done, the cuts are straight and accurate
  2. Beautiful truck, well taken care of and deserving of a great replica, well done!
  3. Neat workmanship, very realistic weathering! Love the roll bar and guard
  4. until
Come along and enjoy Canada's largest plastic scale model show & contest within the backdrop of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
  5. Excellent work all around, both model and background scene! Very realistic woodwork, lots of details brought out by careful painting and washes, love it!
  6. Wow, those are great! Just the right amount of colour
  7. Looks pretty rough, but well worth saving, the '63 is kinda rare. I've saved up a few of this generation Riviera kit, I recall the interiors were different, and now I hear they're coming out with the '65 again, yay! Beautiful car!
  8. Nice to see that! Pretty rare kit, the 1:1 used to be everywhere in Canada back in the day
  9. Nailed it! Very unique, nice to see that box body on something different, and you added the rear bumper and ramp, cool!
  10. $10-$20 for a heat gun and you can bend styrene into any shape you want. For corners, I heat and bend it over the rounded edge of a piece of scrap wood. You need to stretch it a bit to make it conform. More heat and you can 'heat and smash' over a wooden buck or even vacuform it.
  11. Amazing to take that on! Looking back at the 1:1 I see what you mean, it is a monster! I noticed lots of surface variation, not all is flat like on most kits. Did you see my post on piano hinges, after some digging at the website I see that they have some very small sizes available, see the photo
