  1. You are crazy! (L) Seriously, you are correct to a point. When it comes to moldmaking Johan, MPC and AMT products really did have some great bodies and detailing cast. However in order to keep costs down and keep young guys getting into the hobby they made simple assembly a big factor too. Now we have laser precision running gear but as you say "approximated" curves. I think the Revell LX Mustang is a good example. It is a great attempt but off a bit. But you look at the Round 2 stuff and you find great outer shells but those out of scale engines and in some cases 1 piece chassis. That is why I am glad I can be happy with just having a car in scale form to build.
  2. This is a beautiful car from any angle. All I can say is wow.
  3. Could you possibly show the inside of the bed? I would like to see the details and what the inner bedsides and wheelwells look like.
  4. Wow? Yes I can see where the would think images of film monsters of the 30's and pop culture icons would go against their "projected selves". But they were cashing in on Halloween in July last year. Oh well there is always Michael's?
  5. Don't feel alone. Since I turned 50 years are only lasting 4 weeks. (L) I cannot wait to see some images on this one. I hope the F100 launches huge and Moebius profits accordingly. You guys are a class act.
  6. Mine is a gem. I have the "Johnny Lightning" kit that was molded in white. I found some revell narrow slicks and using the kits Hurst mags. It offers tri-power or a 421 SD type dual 4 intake. It builds beautifuly and if you get a 421 parts pak of Ebay you can put a blower on it.
  7. Moebius makes it easy to buy from their site. Hobby Lobby here is quick to clearance kits and cut back what the carry. It makes for some "happy accidents" but I cannot depend on them. If it helps Moebius I will buy direct and pay a little more. They are a great company.
  8. Maybe we should be lobbying Round 2 to re release the wedge and camper kit. I want to do the RV camper myself.
  9. I agree totally. These guys put so much into their products. Andbeing a long time fan of cars, comics and Sci-fi they have it all. I get the impression they must be fans as well as businessmen and very good people.
  10. I have been waiting for this one for some time as well. Looking at the one posted I would say they nailed it. After reading 43 pages of posts on the other thread I am glad they kept on going. That got, IMO, way past polite and a lot of guys embarrased the hobby with their statements. Considering the estimated price on this kit, the subject matter and the quality I have seen from Moebius on the Hudson I feel it will blow up when released. What blows my mind is how open they were with the design and test shots. I hope that continues. The Plymouth and Comet are kits we have all long wanted. The LWB F100 is a gem. Cannot wait to see the first one that gets the old wedge haulerbed that Model King offered years back.
