Thanks for the clarification. But it still stands that we probably won't see the 96 tool roadster again, especially while the NEW roadster /RR is in the catalog.

Swiped this from Megahobby to add a little more info to the conversation. 1- Looks like it's the slotted wheels from the original 96 tool roadster. This is the first appearance outside of the roadster reissues to have those wheels. 2- Wire wheels as well, which were in the initial issue of the Tudor. 3- Drag City Casting just happens to have a Fordor and a chopped Tudor body available right now. @krassandbernie 4- stavanzer, I'm not sure if we will ever see the 96 tool roadster again. The story behind what became the Rat Roaster project was that the 96 roadster tool was so tired that Revell was going to have to invest in making a new tool, so they took the opportunity to make something a little different from the 96 version. @tim boyd could maybe confirm?

These model car deals come in waves. Before this most recent wave a few months ago there was little to nothing on their shelves for model cars for a looong time based on the inactivity in this thread. I would just keep your eye on this thread to see when stuff heats up again. We also just had our first Ollies open near me last fall. I've been in there six times in the last 6 months and only found anything worthwhile once, and 2 or three times there were absolutely ZERO model car kits.

But casting derisive comments towards the way others choose to enjoy this hobby by making what they want to to do or the way they build is inferior in some way to guide the OP towards your way of thinking isn't very inclusive. Agree to disagree I guess. I'm moving on.

Isn't this hobby supposed to be about enjoyment? So if someone wants to "slam one together" and they enjoy doing it isn't that the point? Downgrading someone or their build because of how they want to enjoy the hobby isn't cool in my book.

Thanks for the heads up. I am aware that it has been available from many resin guys over the years to varying degrees of quality. I even got one myself at one point, but I'd love to have a well done body, preferably with an interior. This build is over 15 years old, and I've grown less satisfied with the exaggerated proportions (first scratchbuilt frame) and weak (single leaf) suicide front end. Maybe I should just take this apart and give it a do over. (as if I didn't have 8k other projects floating in my head, much less redoing a completed one haha)

Thanks for confirming. I've been eyeballing that Outcast kit for awhile now but it hasn't been reissued in some time so the prices are up there. I'll continue patiently waiting for one at a reasonable price.

Looking great RRR. I was inspired by MustangMikes version a few months ago so I came up with an Infini-T kit. not sure if I'll every get to it, but it's on the list. Any idea what the headers are from? Not necessarily for my own build but they'd look cool on a t bucket

Well, I will definitely keep my eyes on this and will participate if I can. I have the same build I planned for 2023 rattling around in my head, would love to see it manifested in reality someday. Thanks for reviving this Graham
