Marc @ MPC Motorsports
Go to www.resinrealm.net and click on Star Models. Hendrix Resin has a 1959 Ford Custom 300 4 door sedan, 1953 Ford Customline 2 door sedan. R&R has the '62 Falcon 2 door sedan. Not sure about the availability of the other two. 62rebel
there's a ton of cool cars there. hendrix has the 59 sedan in 300 form and Galaxie in 2dr... might be able to fab posts and move/add door handles to make the galaxie a 4dr sedan. again, lots of cool stuff there. thanks for the lead. Zoom Zoom
Scale Kraft used to do that Cortina, btu I don't know if they're around anymore. They're OOB. I did hear someone bought the masters/molds, but have not heard anything beyond that.
mrglubaum
I hope someone did get the molds and starts using them! I'd like that MG Airline coupe!
Zoom Zoom
I hope someone did get the molds and starts using them! I'd like that MG Airline coupe! Who ever knows? There's at least one person I know of who has bought some of the best masters from people/companies no longer casting, but not a single one of them has even been hinted at being available again. Basically if there's something in resin out there that you want, it behooves you to buy it when available and don't wait. The company can go bust, and there's no guarantee you'll ever see it again. 62rebel
Bob, do you recall what configuration the Cortina was? what scale? maybe how much model there was; detail wise? i had a 1:1 1967 2dr sedan plain jane but i made it look like a lotus.... mrglubaum
Well Bob, I kinda knew about that, but there are so many great resin kits out there, I can't buy them fast enough! I've lost a few by the casters going belly up, but I still have plenty to work on! That Cortina was a 2dr sedan, I believe a '65. It was a complete kit. mrglubaum
I was wrong, it was a '63. Here's a link to their old price list: http://www.islandcollectibles.net/prod0228.htm

Here's a link to their old price list: http://www.islandcollectibles.net/prod0228.htm Actually I've seen and held the kit; a friend of Guido's locally got one to send to a magazine for review. Nice kit. There were a few SK models I wanted but didn't get, but glad I did get the Phantom Corsair, the Alfa 2900 LeMans, and the BMW 3.0 CS transkit. He never did finish his Mangusta which I would have had to have. You win some, you lose some
mrglubaum
Oooooo! The Phantom Corsair! That's got to be a neat model! I've seen the actual car when it was at Harrah's. It may not have been a practical car, but it sure was cool looking!
62rebel
i think a '63 could pass for a '67 with a little fabrication; mine was titled as a '67 but was a holdover '66; the real '67 was more "falcon" like in appearance (i had a '69 GT;same body as that) but i liked the mk1 version much better. wonder if anyone has one of those old kits available? I've been after a Mk1 Cortina for a while, so fingers crossed Andy at Model Cars (Andyx by any chance?) gets it going again soon. Would love to find out what's happened to ScaleKraft Guido's moulds...he had some great stuff, but closed up about 2 months before I found out about his models. I could definately have blown my budget with him!

Ariel
I have gotten a hold of a 63 cortina and thinking of reproducing it. But don't know if to do it curb side or a full detail kit.
