Duntov
Hi, Andy, I believe these are new also. It's the wheels and tires that come in the set. I have not done anything to them. I love their big and little sets too. And and Virgil.... I just got a set of "Reverse" as well (and the mags too)..... my white walls are super thin.... I am wondering if there are multiple versions? The two I have are "Chrome Reverse" and "Sovereign" but both have razor thin white walls....not at all like you have on your '50..... I looked again on the Scaledreams site and I don't see a wide white at all..... these tires and the large diameter wheels are almost "Low-Rider" like in appearance.... I wanted to use them on a simple Revell 63 Corvette Coupe curbside and the tires don't even come close to filling up the wheel wells..... I guess I need to find some place for these things as they are really nice!!!! Regards Bill Edited April 13, 2013 by Duntov

Dr. Cranky
Here's the parts number #1125 "Reverse" Chrome. I looked at the other set I also bought and it too has the thicker wide whites. I think the person to ask is Rick over at SCALEDREAMZ.COM.

Dr. Cranky
Bill, I just realized that I also have these skinny wide walls. I think RICK sent me some of the NEW sets he had just gotten. Again, I think the thing to do is contact SCALEDREAMZ and ask.
Duntov
Thanks Virgil.... I have been playing swapo-chango with every wheel and tire set I have to see if I can come up with something.... I will use these skinny ones though..... they look very good but just seem a bit short in overall profile.... that may be an illusion between a wide and skinny white though too.... I am sure Rick can sort it out..... Nice build by the way..... I have those 50 Chevy kits stashed under my desk as well.... those and the Revell 32 Fords seem to multiply when left alone in the stash area.... ) Later Bill
exesivefire
I originally got them because they had the old school lowrider tires, however I want a set of those wide whites too! I'll contact them and see what's what
crazyjim
Does anybody have a side view of those new tires? Are they wide like the usual Pegasus units or narrow?
exesivefire
Very narrow
Dr. Cranky
Yes they are narrow and the backs are not as well chromed, so they could in fact be painted and you can add disk brakes.
daveblev
fantastic job, as usual doc! i'm learning a lot from your builds, but mostly to have fun, and, go wild with it! dave

crazyjim
Wonderful work you do, Virg. I hope you're going to scuff those whitewalls and put some rust on those gorgeous wheels.
Dr. Cranky
Jim, as much as I am tempted to do that, I wanted this one to represent those rides I've seen in the mags where the vehicles are all beat up but the wheels are immaculate. Thanks for visiting.
LoneWolf15
All I can say is , Wow ! The King Of Crud has struck again ! Lol ! Love the patina , Virg ! It is outstanding !

Dr. Cranky
Thank you, Maties. Still working on the little details. This one should be done by tomorrow. And the owner of this one has this strange, evil pet he's tied up to the bed to protect the truck. More soon tomorrow. Again, thank you.
