Amt racemasters on 124 scale body

Recommended Posts

There were and are several different sizes of slicks in 1:1 (full-scale, real cars), so getting something that is scale-correct isn't really a problem if you have a parts stash. Over the years I've modified the centers of various tires to take larger diameter rims by CAREFULLY cutting with a sharp X-acto, and finishing to round if necessary with sandpaper wrapped on an appropriately sized mandrel. If you're careful and pay attention, you can do a perfect job every time.

Like Bill said, you can make the holes larger, without much work...go slow, keep it round !

Other times require adapting wheel centers to hoops...that is a chore !
