cartpix
I read all 72 pages, today. Awesome amount of work. It's amazing how great it's turning out, with all the 1st time techniques, you are doing. Make sure to take pictures, when you blow it up with firecrackers. fantacmet
SOB, man, I've got my milling machine now, and I could probably pull of the block, heads and valve covers without too much trouble, no way with the rest of that on there so far without CNC. Though I didn't get a rotary table with it. Oh well. Edited February 7, 2014 by fantacmet
nchogberg
Hey VintageDragFan, Maybe a dumb question, but is operating a mill like working an etch-a-sketch? I've been looking at some smaller hobby mills... Later, Hog

vintagedragfan
thanks for all of the interest guys, really do appreciate it, I guess I kinda took the winter off when it got pretty cold and I didn't feel like freezing in the garage, it still sits on the bench just as I left it, last time I worked on it I spent hours making 2 inter-coolers that ended up not fitting where I planned, got a little disgusted with it and haven't touched it sense, lol, I am getting the itch to work on it again, so maybe have an update soon thanks again for all of the interest and support!! FASTBACK340
Glad to hear you didn't step on it like SOME people do to their problem builds…. Hope to see some progress Bill.

GoatGuy
I understand the cold weather problem Bill. In the winter I can only do small parts painting. No place/booth for spray can or airbrush. Really looking forward to more of your work.

DavidG
I just found this site and I must say that I'm impressed, not just with this aluminum hemi build, but ALL the models I've seen so far. Bill, please let me ask ... will there be a time soon when we could see this build in person? Oh, and one other question... If I'm willing to drive over to visit, may I help you bleed the brakes? DavidG
,.. last time I worked on it I spent hours making 2 inter-coolers that ended up not fitting where I planned, I somehow feel that your 'cuda will make plenty of horsepower even without those intercoolers. Haha
vintagedragfan
thanks to all who have been checking in, I appreciate the support, I did actually get some long over due bench time in, I got the brake rotors made for the rear disc's, they are vented and drilled, each rotor has 78 holes in it total, took some time! also got the flanges made and installed on the rear housing time to start on the calipers and brackets to mount them, thanks for looking

Alyn
lovely little bits of jewelry, Bill. The spacing of the various holes are deadly accurate. You must have some secret computer driven laser drill hidden in an underground workshop, three stories below the surface. You have come up for air and blind us with your machining brilliance. I was recently thinking of how Mark and John had raised the bar so high it could go no higher. No more raising the bar. Then you show up and what do you do; raise the bar. Way to go, buddy. I'll look forward to seeing the finished car at this years Heartland.
