W-409
Since many of you know, I really don't like seeing Old Classic cars being modernized with big wheels and/or modern engine and transmission etc. Also I got Revell's Chevy SSR Model kit as a prize on local Model Car Show... ...So I decided to start building it as Old School style Pickup. I'm planning to add Chevy Smallblock from the Street Fighter '60 Chevy Nomad with Old School style speed parts. I'm going for '60s look with the engine. Wheels and tires will be of course 15" Steelie Wheels and White Wall tires. Also the interior is way too modern for me, it will need a lot of cutting and smoothing, but I hope I can do something for it. I started today by gluing the engine block together. Can't really say that the engine is good quality, needs to add some putty on it tomorrow. Once test fitted on place, I had to cut part of the front suspension off so I could get the engine fit right. Once I get bit further, I will glue the part back to little different position.
W-409
Then I started cutting the door panels. I want them to be smooth, that center section looks bit modern to me, so let's draw the cutting lines and let the sawing begin! Glue some styrene to the hole, and use Super Glue to fill the gaps.... Then I came up with this. Putty time. Edited January 13, 2013 by W-
