    65 Mercury

I have just posted on the 1964 Mercury post about my best friends dad having Merc. convertibles. His 64 was turquoise and his 1965 was this dark burgundy. It had a white top and white interior like the 64. We treated the 1965 car much kinder cause we were a year older,17. LOL Beautiful build. Thanks for the memories. Azgary
  2. I am 1 more who gave up on the top and gave mine a glue bath and lit the match. Sooty black smoke not good in the basement. You are to praised for your fine job this time around. I still don't have the patience to try it again. Azgary
  3. I have had the kit for over a year and have decided to use this body also. I am learning a lot from seeing you detail it out. I'll keep watching. Thanks for your input. Azgary
  4. Very nice build! Thanks for the build photo's. Checkered flag quality! Azgary
  5. That's so cool that you have it in decent shape after all these years. Most of us have moved a few times and models where trashed. It still looks very time period correct. Congrats! Azgary
  6. Nice save! Excellent color choice. It fits the car perfectly. Azgary
  7. This car is REALLY nice. Great details in all area's not just the body. Well done!
  8. Here's the view from my lazy boy recliner. This is a wall unit we had built to size a few years ago. All total there is 12 diorama's, Today I will show you my garage. The building was made for me by my son for father's day 3 years ago. I spent about 6 months furnishing and detailing it so that it looks like a real one I would have. Details:Every garage needs an old front seat to sit back on,mine is from a 1958 impala, Every kid of the 1950"s love Tom Medley, cartoons and his character Stroker McGurk especially on a real Go Kart! Top left corner is a politically incorrect old picture from Esquire Magazine 1959. The ultimate train mom. It's five o'clock somewhere and it's always here on my old Timex wrist watch. The Mooneyes emblem was on the back of my Chevy Van in the late 1990's Pizza, beer, a lap top and Pac Man finish the decor. Oh yeah my U of A pennant. GO CATS! The diner side is an old lionel caboose. Biker Bob has company coming and has ordered beer for them. The dune buggy is painted the same red pearl as the one I drove in 1968. Lighting is just a clamp on desk lamp from Target. Lets me keep it on and off when ever needed. Time to have the grandson and Barney the cat clean up the Camaro so we can cruise tonight. I will post some of the other diorama's as time goes on. I hope you enjoy the view from my chair. Azgary
  9. I was a BIG fan of his back in the day. Got the tee shirt to prove it !
  10. Here's my work in progress. My vision of Bill Cushenberry "EL MATADOR" .Using a Lindberg kit and to be Ford in Ford the diecast 429 Cammer motor. It has been tucked away for awhile.Maybe getting it out for pictures will get me back at it. Azgary
  11. Go to the lake? Take the buggy to the dunes? Take the 409 to the drag strip? Go for a cruise in the hot rods? Or load the wagons and go camping. Decisions, decisions!, Azgary

    PAC MAN

The game Pac Man turned 35 years old May 22,2015. I have one in my garage . Anyone else? Azgary
  13. I was refereed here by a fellow I respect on the O gauge railroad forum I belong to. This seems to be a well run, pleasant forum, and I look forward to being here. I am 67 yo and retired. I have been building model's since I was able to play with glue. The big step was when AMT came out with those great kits in 1958. What a great toy for an 11 year old. Two eye surgeries have slowed my car modeling abilities, but still have lots of kits and parts boxes to get back to. Model cars and Lionel trains, just GREAT being a kid again! Azgary
  14. Sam, The Ace hardware and Hobby Shop is where I go for all my modeling and train needs. It is at 22nd and Kolb. On Wed. night's there is a cruise at the Lucky Wishbone just off 22nd st. on Harrison. Starts at 6:00pm. Great food on the cheap there also. Azgary
