mikemodeler
Very nice and extremely clean, is it a kit or did you do some scratchbuilding?
Mike77
I used the Monogram 1/16 Peterbilt 359 kit as a start and scratchbuilt the wrecker body and boom. It's loosely based on the little Stepp's Towing 1/25 kit. Edited April 16, 2013 by Mike77

Yahshu
At 1st I thought this was the "Stepp's" wreaker, you can certainly see the influence, this must be HUGE, considering how big the "Stepp's" is, very nice build.

Mike77
Michael, Very nice work. Does it have the Cat 3408 under the hood? Kenny B Thanks! It has a regular kit engine. I usually don't go too crazy on underhood details as no one really ever sees them and if I showed them to anyone they probably wouldn't even know what I was talking about anyway. Ben
Hey Mike! I wondered what happened to you! You had the best 1/16 builds I had ever seen. Hope to see more!!!!!!

Mike77
Hey Mike! I wondered what happened to you! You had the best 1/16 builds I had ever seen. Hope to see more!!!!!! Thanks! The original 1/16 kits became more scarce and too expensive so I quit doing customs, but with the reissued Peterbilt (and soon Kenworth) I'm in the planning stages of doing an even bigger wrecker. I don't have any particular affinity for tow trucks, they just seem a little more challenging than a standard road truck. I'll admit I was a little disillusioned when I found out recently that that other guy was taking credit for my customs, but I still want to do another project.
