Seen before, Mark Donohue 289 Cobra

This is probably the most extensively modified build to date. It's a 289 Cobra driven to victory by Mark Donohue at VIR in 1964, and is built from the old-as-dirt AMT kit. Most of the suspension has been rebuilt with aluminum tube and parts bin goodies, the intake trumpets, rollbar and side pipes are aluminum tube, and there are a bunch of parts from the ex-Monogram 427 Cobra kits thrown in for good measure. The wheels are Reps & Mins resin pieces and the tires are from the Revell '70 Torino Cobra. Paint is PPG Ford Viking Blue, and the decals were printed on an ALPS by Les Smirle. Can't wait for the upcoming Accurate Miniatures kits!
