  1. That's looking pretty good!
  2. Cheers again gents. Steve,it is not the best of kits.Measure the door lengths and tell me what you find...
  3. I finished this beasty today, the front was cut off to form a flip front and the bonnet was blended into the wings and front panel, the hood scoop is the cockpit cover from a rail dragster.I had to fabricate a new bulkhead for it and the rear bumper was blended into the body. Also I made new chassis rails from brass box section and created ventilated discs from scratch. The engine is a Ferrari V12 and has twin turbo's. The shell was sprayed Ford crystal blue and cleared with Halfords polyurethane clear and the chromework was foiled too. The wheels are off a Tamiya kit and the Revell hubs were modified to fit them, hope you like it.
  4. He's a canny man and has started doing adverts for certain companies..
  5. Thanks gents for the kind comments. As promised here are a few more pics,to fit the Enzo wheels I needed to cut the inner fenders away and raise them about four mm.Even then it was tight, but I got there.. Leaf springs with a 428...No way,I could get axle tramp in a 2 litre Cortina so they had to go! So I made a 4 link setup and converted a set of Tamiya discs to fit the sleeved axle (it was a two part axle and was on the fragile side.) How the rear looked before paint. To fit the Revell Germany wheels to the Revell USA stub axles I drilled the wheels out a tad and sleeved them with Evergreen tubing. The chassis was done satin black and I tried a bit of 'over spray' of the candy green.. As I say the wheels were done satin black and I decanted a bit from the Tamiya rattle can and brush painted the rims and spokes, the wheels were then cleared with Halfords (an auto store chain here) clear. More soon.
  6. Evening gents. Thought I would show a Torino I am nearing completion with,it is pretty standard apart from a 4 link rear end and wheels off a Ferrari Enzo! The colour is Tamiya candy lime green and it's cleared with P.U. clear, here are a few teaser pics and I will sort more out tomorrow.
  7. Bless the old peanut farmer as it was a great idea I can think of a few kits nowadays that should have pics of the contents,as some of the heavily airbrushed images hide a multitude of sins..
  8. The full size Transit and the connect can be hustled down the road with fun.. I have driven a 17 seat minibus version and you could intimidate car drivers with it,that was a hoot! I also saw the remains of a connect in one of our bodyshops,it had taken a very hard hit to the left front corner and everything in front of the firewall had been moved about 6 foot to the right! That means bodywork, chassis legs, engine and tranny! There was nothing really connected to the firewall to be honest,it was sitting alongside the van! the 'box' of the van was twisted out of shape too,but.......The drivers cell was intact.
  9. The kit has potential though,it would be easy enough to convert it into an R.S. You are doing a good job on the car.
  10. It looks good to me also, the Nomads were great cars.
  11. Thanks Bob. Colin. Fourty shades of green...LOL That should be easy to trace as we only have a couple of hundred castles here.
  12. That's right,a small wet,soggy island... Ireland in fact! B)
