  1. The Revell/Monogram Datsun 720 could be a starting point for an LHD dash for the Aoshima 720. The Fujimi CRX is a secondgen, the Tamiya is a firstgen; Tamiya's (recently reissued) mid 80s Civic 4-seater hatchback has an LHD dash that might get you closer. I did one for the Fujimi Prius but it was something of a hack job and the center console relies on painting the interior one of the lighter colors.
  2. There's also GM's version of the same concept, the Opel Insignia Country Tourer. Theophilus Chin even photoshopped a Buick version (Regal Caballero?) http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7394/9736169091_e13bc81573_o.jpg
  3. Too bad none of the Russian companies ever tooled up a full-detail Lada 2106 in 1/25 that could donate its' running gear.
  4. That looks awesome! Black interiors where not prototypically correct are a pet peeve of mine, and I even tend to avoid them wherever the subject had any alternative whatsoever. The yellow paint on the headlight "bulb" is a nice touch.
  5. MkI Fiesta's a possibility, I doubt we'd get a full US version but if they kit the XR2 it'd have the round headlights. Current generation Fiesta ST, maybe - in that case maybe RoG could do the Euro version as full detail with a US five-door snapper designed in such a way to make kitbashing as easy as possible? Or they could just do a Focus ST which comes with a heaping helping of doors worldwide. I'd like to see a Morris Minor, too. And how about a Volvo 140 series?
  6. Greenlight makes a new Escape in 1/43 and I've seen Kuga versions of it (the diecast) for the EU market, so you might be able to get one of those locally.
  7. Don't forget the extent to which Cadillac *dominated* the upper-price segment, it was a good year for Lincoln if they had a quarter of Cadillac's volume. The "two-Ford" ads were probably an attempt to open a second front on GM's share of the high-end market.
  8. I wonder if the '80 Corolla sedan's a new tool or a modified version of their '82 that's been around since that was a new car.
  9. I'm surprised it's not a Buick, since they desperately need to stretch the brand to cover every sort of car that's premium but not fancy enough to be a Cadillac. They're did well with the Regal, but the Verano seems so "old GM" with its' ugly grille, tacked-on trunk and mandatory automatic transmission. A halo four-door muscle car - call it Grand National - would be just the thing to get people in to look at, say, a manual Verano hatchback whose grille fits the original Opel opening. Or a diesel Regal wagon. Or maybe they'll go straight for the new GN.
