  1. The windshield surrounds are different, but the windshield glass on the roadster seems to be taller and closer to the right height for the coupe?
  2. I was always hoping that Tamiya would do the XK-E after they did the Mercedes 300 Gullwing. Now I have to hope they'll do that Jaguar Low Drag Coupe.
  3. We can aways hope for a transkit, or replacement windshield and surround!
  4. Corrected as far as sink holes, body fit, etc., but the windshield is still from the roadster and is too short unless someone tells me otherwise.
  5. As of 4/9/22, Model Roundup has both the Revell XK-E Coupe US version ($29.99) and Revel Germany XK-E Roadster version ( $44.90) in stock. My local Michael's also has the coupe in stock for $29.99 with a 20% discount. I prefer the coupe, but I think I'll pay the extra $15 and go for the roadster, and hope that the coupe body gets corrected in the future.
  6. I just got the red Maisto 2014 vette. The paint is a real problem. Looks like they sprayed a clear red over the bare metal to get a candy-apple effect. Looks fine in the flat areas. Problem is when you spray it over bare metal and not a gold or silver base coat, you end up with runs and pooling in recessed areas! Otherwise, a decent model for the price. A regular metallic paint would have been a better and safer choice. Hopefully they'll work it out in future versions
