Wow Claude this is super cool! It's not just different, it's different done extemely well. Not easy to make a Hornet look badass! And it combines two of my favorite things, music and drag racing. In the early 2000's Kurt Johnson, Tony Pedregon and Doug Kalitta all ran a KISS 30th Anniversary themed paint scheme. I think Metallica is a perfect choice for a drag car. Also, I have heard that Revell Spray Chrome is nice, but this is the first time I am seeing it and it looks awesome.

Super cool build Tony! I have this kit and was just going to do it as a quick bone stock build, but now you have me thinking. . . . mid-60's gasser maybe. Great clean build all around.

Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed doing this box stock build. I went back and forth on colors (body, interior, engine/wheels) and am happy with the ones I chose.

Finished last night, completely box stock. Just wanted a clean, understated custom look. Paint is MCW Burgendy Metallic with Automotive 2K clear. I don't do "Box Stock" very often but challenged myself to leave things alone. It was a lot of fun and a pretty quick build. I think I am going to do more (of course, there are always more detailed builds in progress too.) Overall a pretty nice kit although the chassis can be challenging as well as the wing windows.
