Guest Gramps-xrds
Thanks to George53 sending me a 1/25 scale GTO. I was able to make a copy of the one I had back in the late 60s. The first pix are of the original and the others (of course) are of my attempt to duplicate it. Thanks again George

James W
A very nice replica of a sturdy old Goat. Glad to see you replicate it faithfully and not try to upgrade it. It would be fun to see your dream version of it too!
Guest Gramps-xrds
Thanks for lookin and the kind comments guys. I had a great time building this and a lot of fond memories while doing it, along w/ some memories of several tickets I got also. This build will take a special place on my shelf along side my buddys 56 ford customline hardtop that I built a lot of yrs ago.

Guest Gramps-xrds
Great job replicating your old ride .out of curiousity what did you replace the real one with? After drivin the goat for 5 or 6 yrs, in 1972 I trade it in for a 71 Pontiac Firebird. That was a h*ll of a car too. 160 mph 350 automatic. I don't know what was done to the engine but, you couldn't time it w/ a timinglight. I ended up using a vacuum gage to get it to run right. It had a shift kit in the tranny too. The girl that had it had ran it in some sportscar ralleys in Ky. I found one of the dash placks under the seat. When I bought it it was metalic gold and only sat bout 4 in. off the ground. I drove the heck outa it and got some more tickets . After runnin it in primmer for several yrs, the guys that I did some custom painting for were gettin on my case so I finally painted it black and did some murals on the hood and deck lid. And this is what it looked like. I ended up drivin that one for bout 12 yrs. I sure wish I had both of them back.
