MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. It's going to be Sammy Swindell's car from Syracuse 1994
  2. Interesting indeed. You have a color choice in mind?
  3. Some updates. Got the floor pan Carbon fibered, decals finished, and wheels/tires detailed
  4. Was skeptical about these new kits and didn't like any of the options available to build the new Camaro. So, I improvised and wet the DoT route. I'm happy with the progress so far. There have been some rumblings on quality control on the kits. Haven't run into anything drastic yet. Chassis pan is a little warped but the roll cage seems to help straighten it out. Not a big fan of how the top of the rollcage goes on. That might be the area that gives me issues. Overall liking the way this is coming together. Out of the builds I've seen completed, Salvinos absolutely nailed the stance on these kits. Stay tuned
  5. I cut the tubs and tops of the tires to get the desired height
  6. My summary of builds for 2022. Whole bunch of slot car bodies painted too
  7. Photoetch. I can paint, just not that well
  8. About two and a half months. I used an old Super Stock magazine and what I could find online for reference
  9. Cut the top of the tires and some the tubs out to get it to sit properly
  10. Huracan is complete. To recap what was used in this build is as follows : Aoshima Huracan as the base Hobby Desingn wide body transkit utilizing the ground effects, wheels and brakes Scale Motorsports 1/20 twill weave carbon fiber on the ground effects and spoiler topped with 2k clear Paint is a custom light blue topped by GAP iridescent blue pearl finger nail polish covered by matte clear. Yes, GAP as in GAP the clothing company
  11. My first detailed pro stock. It was a fun and tedious build using a plethora of aftermarket parts and some scratch built parts. Wheels are from Dancing Bear, shift linkage and throttle linkage is from RB motion, Detail Master fittings with Pro Tech braided line, Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland distributor, scratch built wheelie bars with Future Attractions wheelie wheels and dzus plates, Scale Concepts parachute, Detail Master dzus fasteners and Top Studio fuel blocks Enjoy
