MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Revell and Round2 have been purposely avoiding 1968, 1969 and 1971 and 1972 Impalas
  2. Last issue of the Sunnier but the Strainer never was reissued.
  3. The 1961 Galaxy convertible was reissued in 1967 as Trophy series
  4. The engine parts packs are nice but no stock exhaust manifolds
  5. Was it Buick dauntless or Fireball V6?
  6. This kit was designed at AMT during the company's dark ages. I think the 1955 Corvette came before this 1953.
  7. I am excited about the 1964 Boo as well
  8. Modelhaus used to sell bezels for bigger headlights. Thet being said, Revell and AMT 1959 can offer rplacement bezels. When AMT reissued this kit in 1967, they removed the separate bezels, added removable hardtop, eliminated the trunk and called it Trophy series. Along with it came the 1961 Galaxie convertible also then called it a Trophy series.
  9. While there is no motor and simple chassis and interior, this kit approximates the AMT body fairly well,
  10. are those glass pack mufflers correct? I thought they used flat oval mufflers
  11. I will be dead by then and won't care about kits
  12. True statement, I think $80 is too much for this kit.
  13. AMT may have remove the red taillights about 1977 . I suspect AMT was going to do a Countdown series kit of the 1963 Impala. Maybe the strike at AMT changed new kit plans. The red tail lights were in the Chevelle Drag Combo with that 63 Impala as the tow car.
  14. The Lindberg is a blatant copy of the MPC , Hart's Parts has the stock hood.
