Li'l Gypsy Wagon

Showrod Rail for Wandering in a Hurry

•Original year: 1972

•Company: AMT

•Scale: 1/25

•Designer: John Bogosian

"Out-of-Sight" injected V-8 engine, plated chopper forks, vinyl tires, plated lantern headlight, plated cycle-type front wheels, "Transylvania team room" body, "skull" shifter, "keg" fuel tank, fiddle, gypsy camping accessories, crystal ball.

This one has one of the best examples of box art you'll ever see and that has always attracted me magically...

I have tried for years, to get hold of one of those things, of course, in order to build it!

... unfortunately without success, most were already gone, or the deals blew up to much my Budget... :(

As it happens in life, you often see the trees, but not the forest... ;)

So, I decided to build my own:

The project is not finished yet, I still build a diorama, but the vehicle as such, it is complete, here are the Pictures:

Love the feel and the idea of it, though I'm not a fan of that railchopperstrangewheels. I'd like that thing more possible, like Little Stoohie, or stuff by Tom Daniel, maybe on a "real" dragster chassis? Your paintwork is very artistic. Good job!

Hey Bob

Came out very nice

Just one question...

Why didn't you use a set of your signature rear tires?,..it's the only thing I see when I look at this build,..those two piece, plastiky, shiny, meh tires..

Yours would look sooo much better / cooler. just sayin'

Cheers

Well, I do not know it too...

I thought, they look now, even better...

... but you're right, Bruce, when I look longer, the less I like them.

Maybe I will change it... ;)

Watched this one come together and it's just cool to look at the finished product and know where each piece of this thing originated from and how it was built. This build sets an example in imaginative building. I just don't know any other way of putting it. Great job Bobby and I'm really looking forward to the diorama!! emotion-21.gif
