Chevy16
hey every body im new here. my name is tyler, im 19, and ive built a couple models when i was younger and the last model i worked on was extreamly custom silverado that i was attempting to make it look like it was on airbags. built a full custom frame and all that jazz. i ended up moving out of my dads and he threw all of my models away cuz he said they were just in the way. so i stopped building models until i went on winter break this year for college. i wanted something to keep me busy when i wasnt working so i got a hair up my butt and said "hey ill build a model" i am now attempting to build my dream car which is an LS powered, lowerwed, candy apple red 69 camaro. i searched the web to get good ideas and motivation and ran across this site so here i am here are a few progress/ mock up picks. sorry about picture quality i need a new camera but i tried my best to make them the best they can be the engine is out of a 98 firebird and the wheels are ws6 wheels from the same kit
Chevy16
by the way if the paint looks a little rough, it kinda is because i wet sanded it with some 1500-2000 grit because it had a couple pits i wasnt happy with so i still want to do another coat and then clear coat it

ChevyFan
Looking good so far Tyler. The retro-tech is a cool concept and a popular style build in 1:1 in this part of the world. Great colour choice for the 69 body as well. Looking forward to seeing this one done.
