  1. EVERYONE IS SO NICE! i cant begin to explain how happy all these comments made me! you guys are alllll soo supportive! as for what my next model is going to be... i am having such a hard time deciding!
  2. hi everyone! i just finished my very first model and thought this would be a good place to show everyone its not all custom and special like everyone else's here, but i thought it deserved to be shown as my first try ever :] its a 06 mustang gt! painted dark candy apple red! woohoooo!!!! http://s1010.photobucket.com/albums/af225/emily4327/
  3. DEAR EVERYONE!!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE ADVICE!!! the brake fluid turned out to be a winner, it just took TWO days! i repainted down the silver base, and it is drying i don't want to rush it this time, so i'm going to let it dry for a whole day rather than 12 hours. i gotta get this perfect! in the meantime, im painting the interior ill be sure to upload pics soon!
  4. thank you! thats really helpful!!!! the only problem im STILL having though is getting OFF the paint... i tried oven cleaner [total failure] and its been sitting in brake fluid for over 24 hours, and still is [nothing is happening]
  5. I sprayed my car with candy apple red Testors paint, with a silver basecoat. since it was my first time, i messed up. i tried sanding it down the next day, but its hard to get into the ridges and to make bubbles go away. any advice?
  6. thank you everyone for all your advice!!! the color i really wanted to get at was the actual mustang color "dark candy apple red". I didn't know when i bought the paint that it needed a basecoat, and as someone said, the gold leaves it more orange, which i want it to be the dark red. copper would do darker orange i think. if i did get a red spraypaint would that make my candy color not show up? i do want it to be darker, just red, not tinted orange or dark orange or anything.
  7. THANKS GUYS! i didn't even know that the first gold or silver coat would show through... should i get a red? i dont want gold spots underneath
  8. it's my first time ever making a model... i got an '06 mustang gt made by Revell I got the color candy apple red, but it's transparent so i think i need to spray silver first besides that i need some tips on how to make the paint turn out good!!! please help me! :]
