Jantrix
Reminds me of Dr. Cranky's drag car, but different enough to make it unique. Love the idea! More! That goes for me too. I dig it.

cobraman
Got the side panels on and will do some more priming tomorrow. I also gathered up the chrome pieces I want to strip and should be able to do that tomorrow as well.
Kennyboy
This is so cool Ray! Can't wait to see which way you go next. Good call on the wood!

cobraman
Got a little more done today. Primed the whole thing since I mounted the side panels. I also stripped some chrome and painted a couple parts. I also made and painted a removable bed cover from some sheet plastic.

Foxer
You've got the body down to very pleasing proportions! .. hope you don't take that as a bad thing ..

jacoballardtattoo
Maybe a mat green?
cobraman
Making slow progress on this thing. I cut down the floor pan to fit the new short body. The engine is partially done. Ordered a pre wired distributor but still has not arrived. The front suspension is pretty much done. Thinking of replacing the bench seat with some buckets. May even add a center console , not sure. cobraman
Did some cutting on the body and did a mock up.
bobthehobbyguy
Looking good. I think the proportions would be better if you shortened the pickup box by half. Just my 2 cents. Looking forward to seeing more progress.
Zarana-X
I like the body on yours better than the converted bus body you used for reference. I think the bed overhang off the rear looks a bit off, too. Maybe lengthen the frame, and Z it in front of the cab?
cobraman
I think your both right and I may look into doing some modifications, maybe not. : )
chunkypeanutbutter
Or do double axles in the back!
slusher
Or do double axles in the back! That would not look right..
cobraman
I looked at again and I do think the proportions could be improved. Just not sure I want to go back and redo things at this point.
Kennyboy
No biggie Ray! Just looked at your photo......the easy way to do it would be to cut it off behind the cab, then take the bed and cut it right at the second rectangle in the box side, then seam it back into the cab again. Instead of two rectangles in the side, you will only have one then. Hey.....it's only plastic right? bobthehobbyguy
I agree with Ken. Cutting it that way would makecthe most sense. I think it will make a huge difference in the final models appearence.
cobraman
I see what your saying and I think it would look better I just hate to go back to cutting and then the putty and sanding again. I think I will try and get it lower. That may help the overall look.
