Repstock
I used Duplicolor paint with their acrylic lacquer clear. It's been 3 days, and still not completely dry. It's been humid, though. Anything to worry about, or should I give it more time?
JamesW
Humidity is the problem, just give it more time. I've never had probs with Duplicolor.
Jantrix
Bring it in the house. It's probably gassed out quite a bit so odds are it won't smell much.
Ace-Garageguy
Ditto the above, but just out of curiosity, what kind of primer did you use? Primer incompatibility can cause delayed drying too.
Repstock
Ditto the above, but just out of curiosity, what kind of primer did you use? Primer incompatibility can cause delayed drying too. Primer, paint and clear were all Duplicolor. The only other model I've used Duplicolor on dried fast and hard. Since this is only the second time I've used it, I thought I'd ask. Olskoolrodder
What they said I use it and have never had that issue, but seems to me like yeah,it's the humidity IMO,I'd bring it in (I alqays bring mine inside soon as I shoot it ayways, put it in the washer/dryer room and close the door....the Wife complains just a LITTLE bit for a couple minutes )
crazyjim
Since Canada always sends the cold weather south, how about if we all send the humidity up to them?
Kris Morgan
I use Dupli-Color all the time Tom. I have always had good luck with it. I would guess it is the humidity. Please keep us posted.
Guest G Holding
not so much the humidity....its the "acrylic" lacquer...I got some by accident when I was stocking up. Long story...the acrylic lacquer took me close to 20 hours to dry ....IN THE DEYHDRATOR!!!! It did colorsand and polish nicely...But I was quite worried as the color was sweet before the clear.
