Lizardqing
This is one I have going on for a while. But here it so far. Here are some highlights. You can see the whole build up thus far here - http://scalefirehouse.com/phpbb2/viewtopic...asc&start=0 Where it started from. How it started morphing. The upgraded 389 motor. Interior. The exterior. Comments welcome as always.
rottin1
Looking good so far!! I like it when someone thinks outside the box and puts their mind to work. What did you use for wheels and tires? Aftermarket? The look good on it! There's a couple of you guys that build fire trucks on here and there all really nice jobs. It's bad enough, there's not very many kits for us regular truck builders, but I imagine the choices for fire trucks is even slimmer. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming!! halfpint33
Chris,I think you have done an awesome job on this build.Really liking the interior and engine shots.
Lizardqing
Thanks guys. The pickings are pretty slim for emergency vehicles, really tends to add to the challenge of the builds. The tires came from an AMT American LaFrance Pumper kit. Those kits about the most produced and serve as great donor kits for various parts. Jim B
Looking good, Chris. What's that thing in the interior bucket that looks like a Birch log?
Lizardqing
That would be a rolled up map.
Old Albion
This looks really good so far. I like the scratch building and the weathered engine looks very convincing. Great Work!

Jim B
A map? Well, that makes sense! Is it a "real" map, or something to look like a map? How did you make it?
Semi Trailer Mechanic
What's goin' on... That looks good! I read in an article that a sewing pin needle w/ one of those plastic round ends makes for a good transmission shifter.
Lizardqing
The map is a scaled down version of an actual map just printed out on regular paper. I have the file on my site if anyone needs some road maps for their trucks. There are both sheets and books. http://scalefirehouse.com/pages/reference.html I found a gear shifter after all. Had a interior from a AMT ladder truck that got trashed so I swiped it out of there.
