timc
I finally got The 50 Olds kit yesterday. After getting home and opening the kit,I found out that the tires are blackwalls. The box says Tampo printed whitewalls.I remember reading somewhere here that Revell was sending out replacement tires for these kits. So here is my question. Should I call them or do the on-line parts replacement or go the snail mail route? Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks bigtim. 2000-cvpi
Use the parts replacement form on their website. I got my sets in seven days from the time I filled out the online form. Couldn't be happier with their customer service.
fatkidd
I called their customer support number, explained why I was calling, gave the person on the other end my info, and in a week and a half or so the wheels arrived. Gotta love customer service like that...way to go revell
Deathgoblin
Weird. I don't remember mine saying anything about printed whitewalls, I'll have to check. The whitewalls on mine were decals that I couldn't get to work. If there are supposed to be printed whitewalls in the kit, I'll have to email Revell as well. charlie8575
I received mine in about a week and a half after I found out they were offering the replacements. The corrected tires are very nicely done, and even with the unbranded sidewalls (i.e., no "Firestone," "Goodyear," etc.), they look very nice. peter31a
I received 2 sets from them. One set was in good shape but the other the whitewalls on 2 of the tires are damaged. I think I can touch them up. I appreciate Revell coming through on this for us.
