Jantrix
Any truck kit is going to require modification to get the ride height you want. How much modeling experience do you have? Check out Pegasus Hobbies for your wheels and tires. http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/Peg.-Model-Car-Acc.-Rims-&-Tires/c3_25/index.html
Fat Brian
What kind of trucks do you like? There are a lot of great choices out there, narrow it down to a few brands so we can help you better.

JamesW
I bought the Chezoom kit on Ebay, as well as the hood. The hoods haven't been listed in a while as the seller has been having some issues. Good thing I stocked up on them while I could. As far as the rims, do a search on Ebay for Aoshima Mega Rim. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=aoshima+mega+rim&_sacat=
derby1018
Thanks, to tuck those rimms like that did you have to cut the bed in the rear, so it would clear?
JamesW
Yes, the front in fenders were cut out as well as the bed to clear the notch.
derby1018
Any pics of front and rear fenders, cut? does the 454ss truck tub fit on the testors frame?
JamesW
I still need to do some more trimming to make them tuck right. As far as the frame, it's a tad too long, I need to shorten it a little.
derby1018
beautiful work sir, i cant seem to find that frame anywhere online? i checked ebay as well, but i dont really know what im looking for if you have a link to one can you share lol
JamesW
Here are a couple more trucks. These aren't tucking, just a mild drop on Pegasus wheels.
JamesW
Here's the Chezoom. You want the full detail kit to get that frame, not the quickbuilder. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=chezoom&_sacat=2580&_odkw=&_osacat=2580
derby1018
whats the difference between quickbuilder and the other?
JamesW
The quickbilder has a promo type one piece frame with no detail, no engine or interior.

derby1018
do i have to use the cheezoom frame?
Fat Brian
You can use whatever frame you like or even build your own.
JamesW
Yeah, what Brian said. You can use the kit frame and make the notch yourself, or you can build a full frame from plastruct, evergreen or even kit sprue.
