i'd gladly take the link need anything in return?? I too one day plan on doing something quite similar but it will be with direction sheets (typically amt) that have the vehicle specs and details and I of course save all model boxes I can so I have lots of folded down boxes I want to collage in to an album of "model car" art

Here's what I did with my Atlantic: used the nose and scratchbuilt everything else to make a funky woody!

That is absolutely INSANE!!!!! Beautiful workmanship! I love seeing what people envision. I would never had seen that looking at the Atlantic. Amazing!

Unfortunately, my old Atlantic build is a bit dusty and stuffed in a box somewhere….. I really should get a nice display case going somewhere in the house. Maybe I'll clean it up and get some photo's in my gallery. There's a few of my old builds I'd like to photograph before they get shop-worn.

BTW: If my Atlantic, or any of my builds, caused you to honestly offer the compliment given, I'm truly humbled. I never view my work as comparable to the builders I admire. It keeps me going in a positive direction I feel. Now I'm flattered even more. Thank you.

Hello Daniel

I love your idea; it would be great to get a bunch of us together to try to document, catalogue and digitally preserve model kits. Instructions, box tops, end panels, decal sheets, and even pics of all the parts and sprues, if possible. That is the dream, ha ha.

Hello John

Oh yes, please do get some shots of the front end. I don't think I've ever seen the front of it; and now I need to see more of your work!

Got it! Thanks!!

I keep my instructions and box tops as well...thought of using most of the box tops in a poster frame or as a border in my work space.

Nice idea, Tony. I plan to comp together all the 3000+ box top images I've collected and create a whopping 24x36 poster.

Hey Stef, that is a really nice idea.I would love to see what you come up with.I think it would be cool for a modeler to scan their completed box art and make it into a poster.I might look into doing that.( If I can ever finish a build!!!)  Just kidding.

Hello George

Oh yes, this would be a sick awesome project, though I leaned the hard way that doing it all on one's own is impossible. I would like to organize the modelling community in helping me source hires scans of the 3500+ domestic model car boxes I've catalogued. In looking through everyone's kits in the "show your stash" thread here, I see there are hundreds of classics just waiting to be digitized.

In the meantime, you can see the images I've grabbed off Google here:
