Red Bull has released the first images of its 2015 race livery, which will replace its camouflaged paint scheme used in testing.

Red Bull turned heads in Jerez when, without a traditional launch, the new RB11 broke out of the garage in dazzle camouflage.

The team got the idea from Sebastian Vettel's helmet design at last year's Italian Grand Prix, but it is actually an idea that dates back to World War I when US and British navy vessels were painted in black and white stripes to help disguise their size, distance and heading from the enemy.

The new livery is much closer to Red Bull's traditional colours used since it entered the sport in 2005. The purple of title sponsor Infinity is still a feature and is prominent on the sidepods and rear wing.

Fuel and lubricant supplier Total also features with red front and rear wing end plates.

Looks impressive JC.

However, I would like to add my thoughts here, this is my opinion....take it or leave it  !

Every year motor sport teams reveal their new liveries and corporate sponsors plastered all over the car.....

When Red Bull showed off their cars for 2015 V8 Supercars championship the reaction was a mixed bag so to speak, a lot of people including myself thought 'same old' boring design....

Personally I think they should change the colour schemes to really make the cars 'stand out' because when you see the same colour scheme......you go 'big deal'

Following photo is from the the 'Clipsal 500' here in Adelaide, note the same old Red Bull cars...

When Roger Penske teamed up with Dick Johnson Racing for this season Marcos Ambrose is driving this now....

Based on Dicks car when he was team owner/driver....

Like I said, teams need to think outside the box and really make these cars stand out... ;)

I agree completely Ray. I am bored with Red Bull's corporate design. They love to be trend setters so it's long past time they come up with something fresh. I actually prefer Toro Rosso's color scheme to Red Bulls.

Some full tilt Op-Art with contrasting colors, like Red and Blue or Purple and Green would assure Wins for any team bold enough to run 'em. No one would be able to pass without being distracted

Less than 14 days to the First Race of the 2015 Season !!

I used to think Red Bull's F1 cars looked pretty cool, that car at the top looks like someone moved the decals around and forgot where they went. That, or , the bean counters fired everyone in the art department and did it themselves, no 'flow' whatsoever. I know! It's a 'psych ops' thing, to disturb the drivers of other cars, in that case it works.
