  1. Yes there is a model club in Rochester, NY. IPMS Rochester, NY also know as Roc City Scale Modelers. We meet once a month for business meetings in Fairport and have a weekly build night in a Bill Gray's restaurant in Sea Breeze. We currently have about 40 members that build a wide variety of subjects and about 6 members building auto subject matter.The website is www.ipmsrochester.org. Our annual show was just held in Webster, NY and was well attended. I am the current president and I DO build cars, drop me a line if you want more info!

  10. Freddy, I use Citadel acrylic paints that "Gamers" use. They have various shades of metal, as well as standard colors. They can be hand brushed or thinned and air brushed. They dry quickly too. Look for them at a large figure or gaming hobby shop. I hope this helps. Ken
  11. Look for some clear thread at the local fabric store. It is great for rigging 1/700 or larger diameter 1/350 scale ships. For any thing larger they even have elastic thread. Superglue one end, stretch the thread, then attach the other with a drop of glue. Ken
