Dad's chopped 40 Ford (few new pics 12/01/13)

Well, I have been working on this 40 Ford inspired by my father's real car he build when he was 17. I am now on the THIRD attempt to get a paint job that is not severely flawed. Here are some pictures of the rear suspension. I know that it is not perfect to replicate any specific suspension, but I had fun creating the affect.

My father bought his car from a police auction, and it was a moonshiner's car, so the back seat had been removed for the tank. My father was required to remove the tank and deliver back to the police per auction requirement. My father did not put seats back in, but rather boxed in the area and covered in indoor/outdoor carpeting in black.

OK, so she is up on her feet. The stance was not really low like that that would have been seen in California during the same time period, as this one was driven in Wise County, VA. A car needs to be able to drive up in hollows and at the time plenty of dirt roads etc.

I also have a little more work done on the 283

Thanks guys!

Getting close to getting this one done, likely this weekend if I do not screw something else up. (I seem to have forgotten how important it is to test fit things, and it has come back to bite me multiple times on this build)

Any rate, here are some shots from where I left off today. I will need complete the drive shaft, install the radiator and run the hoses, put in a coil, and mount the bumpers.
