Scottnkat
This is a copy of the car that Richard Petty won the 1979 Daytona 500 with. As far as I know, this was the only race that featured the car as it appears here without the STP decal on the hood. This was made from a resin body that I picked up used. All I can say is that I absolutely love the Duplicolor scratch filling primer for resin bodies. This body was scratched and beat up and even warped, however that primer worked out great on this to help smooth things out. The chassis was modified from an old Ford Thunderbird chassis. The wheels and tires were ones that I cast myself. Anyway, here's how it came out:

bbowser
Nice save on the resin. I always thought these Olds' were a bit awkward looking but yours came out very nice.
Scottnkat
Thank you, Bart and Bruce. When I first got the body, I was a bit hesitant. But I am happy with how it came out, considering how messed up it was.
