Guest
Cory, you want to get back to me on the trade? I am working a possible trade for the Photo etch for that Titanic kit, and need to know where we are.

Motor City
ONE '65 SS396 convertible was built. I recall reading that Dan Blocker of Bonanza fame had one of the SS396 cars, but don't recall if his was the convertible. I don't know if anyone has come forward as the current owner of it. Ron Hamilton
ONE '65 SS396 convertible was built. I recall reading that Dan Blocker of Bonanza fame had one of the SS396 cars, but don't recall if his was the convertible. I don't know if anyone has come forward as the current owner of it. Dan Blocker's Z-16 was Crocus Yellow, with a Black Vinyl Roof and Interior according to several sources. There is a rumored '65 SS396 Convertible. I do not know if it is real or not. I've read all sorts of speculation on the car. One said it was Regal Red, with a Black Top and interior, another said it was Sierra Tan, with a Fawn Interior. I liked Black. with a White interior, so that is what I went with, and it is a phantom as far as I am concerned. In my collection, I have an original AMT "Craftsman Series" 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS. It's not real nice, but it is definitely restorable. I do not like the yellow polystyrene it is molded in, so I am likely to re-paint it in a different color if I do anything to it. I have yet to build one of the Revell '65 Z-16 Chevelles as is, as I do not like the side window profile. I had a '65 Malibu (my very first car), which I had to sell because of college expenses. I want to do a nice model of the car as it would have been if I did not run out of money. I did a R&R resin re-pop back in the '80's and it's in my basement somewhere. I might just dust it off and restore/upgrade it when I find it.
