Lovefordgalaxie
My friends, thank you a lot for all the cool comments!! I'm glad if by looking at my little Bird some of you guys decide to build one, because those cars are not common to see built, like Jon Cole said, and they are cool little cars!!! About that shine, I would put the blame on the two part automotive clear. It was the first time I used the stuff, and man, I will use it from now one for sure!! Compared to "regular" modeling clear, it had about 10X the shine, not to mention it's made to resist being on a 1:1 car, so I guess the finish will remain in perfect condition for decades. It airbrushes very well, and I would recomend it for sure.
jaydar
May i ask what you painted the interior with? Black interiors throw me a bit and yours looks great! Joe.
gtx6970
OUTSTANDING, I keep thinking about picking one of these up to build for myself. Pictures make it look almost real. Well done.
Lovefordgalaxie
May i ask what you painted the interior with? Black interiors throw me a bit and yours looks great! Joe. Joe, I painted the "carpeting" with Testors flat black enamel, and the seats, door panels, console and dash with Testors semi gloss black acrylic. After the foil was done, I gave a coat of semi gloss clear (Tamiya) to help with the anodized aluminum efect, as it's not as shinny as chrome.
