Have you considered Alclad? I did a prototype aircraft which had a highly polished wing. I used Alclad chrome over Tamiya gloss black and the finish rivals ANY chtome plated plastic part I've seen. A bottle of Alclad will run about $9, and slightly less for the Tamiya rattle can of black. You can do a bunch of parts for that investment, and you can do them as you need them, without having to round up a sizeable minimum order to ship off.

I'm really fascinated with the old Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 936 and Alpine Turbo racers. I have found some for sale, but since they are collector's items, they are pretty pricey. Has anybody built either of these? I'd love to hear what others think about these kits. TIA, JR

Anybody got a good out of the bottle match or a mix formula for the blue that Gulf used on their 1970s era Porsche 917s? TIA, JR

I am looking at a Fujimi 1/24 Porsche 917K kit. I know they are curbside, and that's okay, but I'd like some opinions on the quality and fit of these kits. TIA, JR
