dimebolt
Got a little bit done tonight. Just got the trunk hinged. Its not pretty, but it functions. This kit, as well as the 1:1 cars had very little trunk room, so not much option as far as placement. Thanks for looking. Corey
bryan_m
yea my buddy had one of these cars, and the trunk was tiny! barely room for a spare..... keep er goin corey bryan

dimebolt
Thnks Bill. No, I'm not comfortable with trying it as of yet. Don't have any of the right supplies, or tools to do it. And this is only my 2nd trunk job, I'm still pretty new at hinging stuff. The front clip was a miracle on the Dart I built! Corey
vintagedragfan
yea Cory I have't cut any doors or trunks yet either, gonna try it on this one, most people just use the back side of their xacto knife, keep up the great work! looks sweet!! love the dog dish idea btw!! I think it will look B.A. on this one
dimebolt
Thanks Bill. That's what I used for the trunk. What I need is a contour gauge so I can get the exact shape of things like door jambs, and such. Also, I've never used any evrgreen stock, channel, flat stock etc. Nowhere to get around here, and I don't really like putting the numbers out there on the net, so I haven't ever bought any. dimebolt
Thanks Carl. I'm really happy with the way it came out also. The hinge system is another story. I'll probably get some smaller hard line, and redo it. Corey
dimebolt
I redid the hinge system today, and am much happier with the result. I can't get photobucket to come up for me though, so I can't post a pic yet. Corey
dimebolt
Here is a pic of my new hinge system. Like I said, I'm alot happier with this, and it wont interfere with anything. Corey
dimebolt
Here are a few mock up pictures with the trunk open. I know the paint is all dirty, but it just needs to be polished,; and right back to normal. Thanks for looking. Corey

dimebolt
Thanks Bryan. I'm gonna have to seriously lower it in the front to get the stance I want. Using the stock front framerail section, it just sits way too high. Higher than the rear by quite a bit, so that'll tell you how slammed this ride's gonna be. I'm not gonna use hardly anything of the stock interior. Door panels and dash probably, but that's about it. I am however going to use a relatively stock looking Hemi so I can use the shaker hood and scoop. But It'll be wired and plumbed etc. as usual.
