novadose71
Due to an overload of projects (currently 5 w/deadlines), and with the start of our club build for NNL Milwaukee looming, this one is getting mocked up and put on the in progress shelf of my display case for a while. Since last post it has been re-cleared and polished. I didn't like the blue I had painted the interior, so I repainted it in black w/blue pearl, it's looks much better, interior will get dark red carpet eventually. I also managed to destroy the turbo's while trying to drill them out doh! so now I'm watching them on ebay. Hate to put it away being so close to done, but what are you gonna do. Enjoy the parting shots. a a abideeabidee That's all folks!...........for now anyway.

Steve H.
Thats a beautiful build so far! Too bad it has to go on hold, but its the right thing to do. You can complete it later without compromising the vision you had for it!
Marc @ MPC Motorsports
Stunning, absolutely stunning!!! You may have posted this before, but what colors did you use?
novadose71
I used HoK throughout, except the clear(Plastikote): Candy red and candy cobalt blue for color, for the base I mixed 50/50 black pearl and sno white pearl, sprayed a few coats for coverage, gave a quick coat of sno white over that to bring out the highlights, then shot the Kandy/three coats of clear, sanded flat, then 4 more coats clear, sanded and polished within an inch of it's life. I hope to do some WIP's on my current projects soon. too. Thanks. Later.
dub
If that's what you have to do, then so be it. It looks like you and I are alike in this way at least. I have a few unfinished models in the case that I don't have plans on a deadline due to many factors. My problem is that yours looks so good I probably would finish a little bit more of the outside and not get back to it for years. One thing's for sure, if you show us here when you do get back to it, we'll be happy campers!
