  1. I saw that issue at Walmart-my heart skipped a beat! I had a blue convertible 1:1, black convertible top, Hurst 4 speed, tach on the console, 345 hp, manual steering and positrac, all on 14 inch wheels with wire wheel covers. All this at age 17, I paid $995 for it.
  2. Another question from the Tbird. How long do I wait until I shoot my second color? The tips on using frosted tape n clear worked out great.
  3. Thanks will try its on a 65 Mustang.
  4. Old dog trying to learn new tricks. Hey guys what mixture do I use with bottle paints to get a wood look? Thats for steering wheels n interior.
  5. I'm just getting back into building, what is BMF. By the way I was Air Cav 2nd of the 8th Regiment a long time ago. Thanx Happy V Day.
  6. Thanks for the advice. Don't want to buy a Cadillac to paint a Pinto!
  7. Thanks for the tip Mike I'll try that.
  8. Thanks for the time Bro, keep on building.
  9. Whats the best kind of tape for two tone paint jobs? I've seen the yellow type is that 3m?
  10. I've gotten up tp page 10 are there any 1/24 clubs in Austin Texas?
  11. First 1:1 was an Olds 442 Convertible 4 speed,345 horse-aah Glory Days!

  12. I use the Dupli-Color "3" system: Primer,Color then clear. I start sanding my first coat with 320 then after each next coat I go 600,1000 and finish with 2000. I do the same on all three: Primer, Color, Clear. Then I compound using Turtle Wax brand and final polish with McQuire"s Scratch X. The results are awesome.
