  1. Finished around field, so I put the tractor back in the barn.
  2. Hinds move when dancers are twerking.
  3. ^^^ There were alternate lyrics to that one as well. Way back in 1984, the song's co-writer Dr. Don Altfeld came into my print shop (on Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena!) to get some publicity material printed. He was trying to sell Ford on the idea of using it for commercials, and told me he'd rewritten it thusly: "But there in her garage where the kids all hang Is a brand new shiny red Ford Mustang" I recall the local paper had some mention of the idea, but that's about as far as it got.
  4. Tank McNamara was one of my favorite comic strips.
  5. I don 't get down to Rancho Mirage much, but since I had to take my housemate to Eisenhower Med Center I hit Hobby Lobby and picked up the '36 Wild One (Chevy) Modified for 40% off. Might put a different body on it (Willys or '36 Ford 5-window?).
  6. Settlement - never mind, I want every little bit because as Brenda Holloway sang, "Every little bit hurts."
  7. Tough to get good stills because the guy was panning the camera... Should be interesting to see if the Newport has mag wheels; the Metalflake issue had them. Wheels in the Valiant and Lancer were way undersized IIRC...
  8. "Wonky" is how Walter Brennan would pronounce the name of the guy who owns the famous candy factory.
  9. WELL now! Looks like those long-gone kits may be resurrected, at last! Nice to see a '62 Chrysler convertible with an unbroken windshield frame too. I'd take the Lancer first as I've never had one.
