This rig is 100% scratchbuilt using Evergreen and Plastruct products. Only kit sourced parts are the wheels and tires. The image on the monitor, is the crew from Scale Firehouse, which was taken at last years NNL East. Inside the compartment are 2 folding tables and chairs. Oh yeah! Ben Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Hey Zoli, i've always admired your builds! Really great stuff! There's just one little thing about them that I don't understand. Why do you keep using the old, outdated AMT split rim ten hole wheels when there are so many nice, modern wheels available these days??? I myself have mastered probably twenty different truck wheels in 1/25 and 1/24. I do the nice Alcoa ten holes and my masters actually have machined aluminum acorn lug nuts and center cap to make them "full dress". I do two hole wheels the same way. I recently mastered a deep offset five hole that is used on a lot of equipment as well. I have in my hand, an Allison HD4560 automatic transmission in 1/25 (the one started by Klaus Lassen) and I also make a Detroit Diesel Series 60 that has been extensivly modified to fit the Trumpeter ALF but could be used for any modern equipment. Please don't think i'm critisizing your work! I know it's some of the best out there!!!! I'm just wanting to make you aware of what's out there so you can make your rigs look even better!!!!! I would be pretty proud to see my wheels on one of your trucks!
