Guest roadkill2525
If you've been following my Civic coupe build and saw my Envy Integra then you'll see the next project(pending you read the rest of it), a Revell Honda Civic Hatchback. Once again Im going with a subtle look with mild custom options. Im going with a metallic orange for the body and undecided for the interior. The wheels will be the Axis Neo set that were the rejected set from the coupe and will be painted titanium or gunmetal metalizer. Here's two mock up pics middle car is what I want the color to be Edited May 8, 2008 by roadkill2525
LVZ2881
Hey, that looks familiar!!! is it just me, or did Revell get the side window openings bit too large??
Guest roadkill2525
Well, this project started today. Place an order for some Tamiya paint, base of TS-30 Silver with TS-73 Clear Orange over it. Wheels have been painted MM Gunmetal metalizer and considering to use MM Clearcoat on them. Interior will two-toned, dark grey with MM Stainless Steel metalizer covered with dullcote. Pictures to come after NNLW this weekend. LVZ2881
looking really good Michael!! on a side note, I think I may have just found the color for my 6-4 Impala. did you shoot that over the silver leaf??
Guest roadkill2525
did you shoot that over the silver leaf?? I didn't use the Silver Leaf, just over the bare plastic. The Clear Orange/Silver Leaf didn't come out like I wanted. I've been thinking about using Tamiya Clear Smoke to tint the rear windows and sunroof. Guest roadkill2525
Michael, any tips for applying the Future?? Hmm... tips, I don't really have any tips. I kinda rushed into it instead of reading the forums to see what others do, I did this more of experiment (on a nice build) while getting ahead of myself. Ok, one tip. Take your time to read the threads on using Future. This off another thread Future how to Edited April 10, 2008 by roadkill2525
mademan
looking great so far! i really like that color. I got a ford color mixed, its called, orange burst effect. i believe its a color from 2005. and i plan to do a civic 2dr coupe with it. for the interior i think a 2 tone light tan and a brown would go good with that color. not a dark brown but a "cardboard box " looking brown.
