hguenth2003
Thank you all for your great feedback. This encourages me for the next projects. By the way I guess the next project will be a german car but without leaving the US It's a Singer Porsche. Cheers Harald
impcon
Nice build!! Was or is there anything about this kit that you found inaccurate or that you did not like? I ask only because I have never bought a Trumpeter kit and some guys have complained about issues on several other releases from this company. I've looked at this kit ( and the convertible and the ranchero ) but have hesitated to buy it because it is a bit more pricey and I hate disappointments when I open a box if you know what I mean. I;d appreciate your comments on the kit.I had a 1:1 silver ( had a black imitation spray on vinyl roof ) Futura 2 door hardtop years ago - red bucket seat interior, six cylinder automatic - and I loved that little car! I sold it and have finally replaced it with another six cylinder Futura hard top that I hope to drive this cming summer.

Wayne Buck
WOW!!! Absolutely Beautiful Falcon! The color looks awesome and I LOVE that engine bay. Super-GREAT Job on this one for sure!
PatW
Superb Falcon, the colour and finish are just ace! It reminds me of going to Silverstone race circuit in the 60's and seeing these race alongside Ford Lotus Cortina's Mini Coopers, Ford Anglias and the new Ford Escorts. Brilliant build well done. Nearly no moldlines on the body nor flash on the parts. Only the front grill was a bit tricky to install and I guess I have to redo it because it has to be placed more into the body. I did not need to glue the chassis to the body because it fits perfectly. In general all the sprues are very well packaged and in particular the clear and chrome parts have been foam protected. It comes with two engine options, two set of rims and two different exhaust types. I know of a discussion - I remember here in the forum - that the kit is not 100% comparable to the prototype. But that didn't bother me because I never saw a real Falcon in my life ;-) Cheers Harald
sjordan2
SUPERB wash work on the chrome areas. What was your method and material?

hguenth2003
Thank you all for your feedback. SUPERB wash work on the chrome areas. What was your method and material? I used Tamiya semigloss black paint thinned roughly 1:5 with Tamiya thinner. It had to be applied two times because it does not adhere very good to the chrome. A cotton swab was used to remove the excess paint. When I looked at the Falcon prototype grill I recognized that every second horizontal bar has some black paint right beneath the vertical bars. You can see it here. I cut Tamiya masking tape to the appropriate width, applied it centered between the vertical bars and painted every second horizontal bar with unthinned semigloss black.
