DanielG
I built this one for a friend that had seen the real thing at an Ontario track. I used a Kyosho Mini and brass and aluminum stock to build the winch and tow-bar assembly which is fully functional.
VW Dave
Totally 'off the wall' and well done. I like it!
Jon Cole
Man, that Mini pegs the "Funky-Meter"!
Modelmartin
Very fun and well done! I suppose it's only good for towing Subaru 360s!
tuffone20
That Mini wrecker is so cool!! Nice job all the way around with it.
Sixties Sam
Now that's something really different! I like it! Great work on the winch and tow bar. Sam
macs_rock
I love it! Can you show us how you built the winch?
Simon
I love it! Great work, especially on the wrecking gear. Though I doubt the rubber cone suspension would allow it to lift much more than a full suitcase! Very imaginative
crazyjim
Pretty neat idea and execution but I doubt it could tow very much. I like the tutorial idea.
DanielG
I am afraid that I did not document the building of this model. The winch was constructed of brass and aluminum stock (strip, tubing, angle etc.) which was soldered and/or bolted together with some gears taken from broken toys. The towing assembly was the most miserable to do as it required building the tiny universal joints so that it had complete range of movement. I do not know how this vehicle was actually used but it did appear that it was, I assume for small sports-cars at the track.
Kombi
However you built it, the end product is really cool.
ScrappyJ
Most of you probably don't watch Tyler Perry's "Meet the Browns", but Mr. Brown has a saying that my son just loves to use; "what the what?". That thing is cool, though and I like all the brass work on the winch and towing assembly! Edited March 5, 2010 by ScrappyJ
DanielG
Thanks for all the compliments! I actually let this model sit for most of a year before tackling it but it was fun and I think the time spent thinking the build over was worth it. RodneyBad
Great looking mini Wrecker. Incredible amount of detail in such a small Package.. Be great for those cars that are just too small for Reg Wreckers.
