  1. I found this 40 ford model kit on ebay, body molded black with decals allready applied. Clear coated it and turned it into a slot car.
  2. Copy the paint scheme as on your initial picture. I would guess red or orange and black... Yours Looks awsome..... I'm thinking about trying a rear engine flathead next, I found a picture of one in a book, exhaust exits just in front of the rear wheels... Rob
  3. This model inspired me to try modeling. This one is my version. A Basic Modeler kit and pieces parts off ebay junk kits.
  4. New 40 Ford. Body off ebay, old kit molded in black with decals allready applied. Just clear coated it. Came out great... Added flathead from a pre built kit and then updated it to injection system... It runs great...... I did build the chassis by the way.... Rob The Nova is allmost ready to run.......
  5. only 16 ft start to finish line with 8 ft shutdown... not long but still a blast.... can add on if i ever find the room
  6. I hope it has a flathead with 3 carbs on it......... Looks great so far....

    Looks REAL..... awsome build..... Rob
  8. Kinda short, but still a blast. Trackmate timing system and copper tape.... Check this first run video... Rob
  9. I'm moving to the Traverse City area in a few months. Any modelers or clubs up there? Rob
  10. Came across your thread searching for Traverse City. You guys live near Traverse? I'm moving there in a few months and hope to meet some modelers and slot car racers. I have a short slot car dragstrip with timing system that I'm bringing with me. I heard there are a few home slot car racers with large tracks up there. Rob
  11. Yep metal... I have an email into R&D Thanks for the direction. Rob
  12. Forgot to mention that the car in the background is a real work of art, by far exceeding my model with stunning simplisity and detail by a Mr. P. Scott Thanks for the inspiration.
  13. Thanks for all the compliments. I'm thinking there should be a fenderless coupe and a sedan to go with this one, same style. I just found a site that sells flathead speed resin, so one will have an injected flathead in it... See what being out of work can do for ya, new hobby. Actually I've been dabbling with drag slot cars also. What fun.... Rob
  14. Just had to chime in. Love 66/67 Nova's Slotcar I'm working on for my grandson who loves Captain America. Body came from ebay with blue front, now decaled and waiting for clearcoat and chrome. Rob
