  1. It probably would have been more appropriate to hear Sharp Dressed Man or Legs, but it was Cheap Sunglasses. But hey, there's nothing wrong with that tune. And nothing wrong with your model. Again, just beautiful work. I can't believe the hood opens like that. Awesome...
  2. Amazing work! Is it a coincidence that ZZ Top just came on the radio when I clicked the topic heading?
  3. This link will explain what Jifflox is: Jifflox Manual on Hank's Truck Pictures I didn't know what it was either until I started noticing some of these PIE K100s with mismatched tandems. Anyway, I can't really use the decals you show because they're way too big for HO scale. They do look great, but they're about 3.5 times too large for my model. I suppose I could purchase them, scan the decals, reduce them and print on decal paper to HO scale, but I figure if I have to print them myself, I might as well just draw them out at the scale I need and arrange the numbers to match the PIE 26-xxxx series, along with the license plates, TT number, etc. But I sure do appreciate the response and the link. It wouldn't hurt for me to purchase the decals to use for reference.
  4. Hello! I just signed up here tonight after finding some postings on Kenworth K100 COEs. I am in need of some dimensions of the cab, namely the distance from the bottom of the cab to the top of the roof as well as the overall width. My intention here is to scale lettering and logos from some photos I have of 1:1 scale K100s in order to create some decals for a model I'm constructing. I noticed most of the models I've seen here are what I remember as 1:25 scale, is that right? I've always enjoyed models of this scale, since the detail that can be added by a motivated modeler knows no bounds. If I hadn't been hooked on model trains as a kid, I probably would have gravitated toward 1:25 tractor trailer models. But, it turned out that I should work in HO scale (1:87.1 -- odd proportion, I know). For reference, and to give you an idea of what I'm into, here's a photo gallery of a Jifflox equipped Kenworth K100 daycab I'm constructing to be decorated for Pacific Intermountain Express: http://www.pbase.com/mecrharris/pie_jifflox If anyone can help me with these measurements, it would help a great deal. Thanks.
