Harry P.
I found this rather hilarious video today. Deep Purple doing their big hit "Hush" on the old "Playboy After Dark" TV show in 1968. Hef in his tux with his pipe, and the chicks milling around... it's so lame that it's funny. The sound mix is terrible... all you hear is the vocal and the drums, you can hardly hear the keyboards at all (which of course was the "trademark" of Deep Purple's sound, and a big part of "Hush"). Anyway... pretty funny... pretty lame... but a great song by a great band.

DynoMight
1:21 look for the chick in the pink dress behind the keyboard, watch her whenever you can... weird dancing... Good song too, Harry, they only play Smoke on the Water on the radio around me, they seem to forget there's a lot of songs out there that they don't play... DPNM
My favorite DP song is Lazy. iirc Circus magazine gave the LP Smoke on the Water "the Boot" rating. Hmmmm, what where they listening to? This album was huge and made a TON of $$$. It is still a fan favorite.
madhorseman
Isn't he already about a hundred? HaHa, I think he's always with two of his "Harem" at either side to hold his old _ _ _ up!! Highway Star was always one of my favs, not to mention "Child in Time", Ian Gillan had a great vocal range!!
