MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Pretty cool Growing up, one of the "cool kids" had an one of these (but a 50cc) Pretty cool bike but of course, my MTs always took him on the top end (This bike reminded me of that one)
  2. I always liked how much "junk" that kit has, but simply never cared enough for the britts to model them
  3. since some time past i figured it would make sense she would be in winter camo...if she hadnt been shot down by now this was my first time using chipping fluid and i think it came out allright (definitely did not flow from the airbrush as i would have liked)
  4. Back to the plane I'm not totally happy with it, but it's starting to look like something (One of the complaints people have about this kit is that the scale is of...which doesn't become apparent untill you start to add properly scaled decals) This was my first time using a pinwash, and I did a light chalk detailing over top Not done yet, but she's got her feet under her again
  5. Yeah, the starfix isn't the greatest kit, but I am not looking to build a 100% correct replica I have no idea how old this kit is, or where it falls in the production run, but it could be the molds were just getting old Perhaps what bothers me the most about is is the lack of swastikas on the decal sheet I guess if they had put an ace of spades on there I could pretend to be making a 9 staffel jg53 plane, but there don't seem to be any real markings on the decal sheet
  6. Thanks! It is a starfix, 1:48 kit About the cheapest kit I could find, but since it was only going to be paint mule I didn't mind (It did take a little more sanding then I liked to get the two sides of the fuselage to line up)
  7. I was able to get the second coat on Not happy with the overspray, but hopefully that will wash out during weathering
  8. Found a few minutes to lay down the first of the top paints I was gonna go with grey, but found some "mud brown" and thought, that'll look cool I think I will detail some of the mottle with a brush later But I like the lines I put down
  9. Got the base blue down, now it will probably be a week or so before I will get to it again
  10. I need to put a second coat of paint on the driver, and I think I will add the machine gun to the sidecar
  11. figured id share this one with you guys perhaps i can get some tips i always loved the way the german planes looked so i bought this 1/48 109 kit it is a pretty basic kit, not a whole lot of detail and it require a LOT of sanding to make things line up not a big deal, i mostly bought this kit to try my hand at painting it, so we will see. i hope to have her in primer by the end of the day
  12. Sorry for the late response I guess you could make it a 73, the main issue would be the stand, it has "PT 109" cast into it This is the decal sheet that comes with it
  13. Got the top painted I used Vallejo paint, but had a heck of a time thinning it to flow through my airbrush Not sure if I want to paint the hull the same way
