Just bought this little gem!

I missed this when it was available back in 2011 so I had to pay a little more for it. I have about 80 of these 1/64 rigs. I only collect the really special ones like limited production, show specials etc. This was the 2011 Toy Truck and Construction Show truck. They have a different one specially made each year. This truck replicates the real show truck owned by Pat Eilen.

Nice truck. The DCP 1/64 are by far the best made.

Congratulations!

Yep! DCP are my favorite! I have the first ones ever made. I even machined a really detailed two hole Budd wheel to use on them and then cast it into resin. At the time, no company offered the two hole wheel in 1/64. They would replicate them by just painting a ten hole wheel white. Then Revell came out with some trucks and they made a beautiful little two hole that they used on some of their trucks. I have their International with TNT pups. It's just as nice as a DCP rig!

Wow ! That's incredible ! I know it's 1/64 scale , but how small is it really ?

I'd say the whole thing is about 13" long. You have to see the detail on one of these trucks in person to see just how nice they are! Working steering, opening doors, full engine detail, photo etch pieces. Die Cast Promotions are by far the best 1/64 trucks ever offered and they have made almost every type of trailer you can think of. The early tractors had cabs that lifted off the chassis to expose the interior. Interior features included, seats that actually moved up and down (as if air sprung), actual soft carpet on the floor and working, tiny sun visors!

I made a mistake in my original post here. It's First Gear that makes a really nice 1/64 truck on par with the DCP trucks, not Revell. I have too many toys! I can't remember who makes what! LOL
