to wait or not to wait

Recommended Posts

OK, I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and found the L.A.Fire Rescue Peterbuilt on clearance for $40. Should I buy this model or should I wait and see if it goes down in price, it was originally $79. I was really tempted, but my wife told me it has been on clearance for a while now. Just looking for your guys opinions. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm.Almost 50% off? ask the manager if he'll go 60%!! I did that at an HL on 3, 1/16th Tony Nancy fuelers by Revell. The boxes were badly damaged but still sealed. We opened each one and there were parts broken(easy fixes to me) got them for $10 ea.

they have 1 at mine for 26, im not into trucks but it was so cheap i almost couldnt pass on it. i think what turned me off was the lack of correct "roadside" emergency lighting. I would like to find an International 4900 cab and chassis to build up like my rig when i was runnin calls

Isn't this why we have closets full of cool stuff ? I thought the number one rule in this hobby was " If you see it, if you want it , BUY IT! Cause it ain't gonna be there next time.":)

Reminds me of a good friend who went to te local Harley-Davidson dealer to buy a new bike. He looked and sat and looked more. He finally found one that he really liked and worked a deal. Then he said he's going to think about it. Couple of days later, with his mind made up, went back to the dealer. Bike was already sold. You snooze - you lose!

Ok got a question. Where do you find the clearance kits at in your store? We have 2 Hobby Lobby stores ( 1 I stop in about once a week as its on the way home from work) that have a clearance area in the back corner of the store. I dont find kits often. Have checked in the model aisle as well and never find clearance kits. Maybe they ship them back for credit?

Anyway im curious where you find your deals in your store at.
