vc273
Hi been mocking up this one now for a couple of weeks. Have made up some tubs for the rear end and am using a modified willys pro street chassis. Will most likely use a hemi for motivation but unsure about induction. Just a few mock up pics at the moment. Cheers and thanks for looking Edited June 21, 2017 by vc273

vc273
Hi Miles think the motor was a fuel injected olds. Have had the kit since 2003 and first started back then parts binning the parts i didnt need but as with all projects i have they seem to get put back to the back of the cupboard and i end up starting something new. chunkypeanutbutter
Yeah, I get the same way with projects. But still, you inspired me to start on MY '50 Austin!
freakshow12
That is nice. Ditch the scoop and go hillborn injection on the hemi....
DonW
I'm with Fred on that! Those scoops look ugly enough on late metal, too much for the poor little old Austin! I love the wheels.
1 bad55 stan
Very cool project Steve,Wheels look perfect for this car,I built mine using a Beretta chassis,it needed a few mods to make it fit.

vc273
Hi thanks everyone for your comments. Been thinking about the build and decided to go blown and injection set up on either a 426 hemi or a 429 ford set up. Have mocked up a set of wheelie bars also. Stan saw your build and am very impressed I had used the same on a thames van couple of picks added but dont really like the solid rear set up. Just a couple of shots showing how its coming along. Cheers and thanks for looking. Edited August 29, 2014 by vc273

vc273
Will be working on this one over winter and hopefully will have it finished by the end of the year. Started off by adding tubs to the rear end to suit the rims and slicks I got from the parts box. While I was at it I also came across the wheelie bar set up that I will be using and also decided on a supercharged injected twin plug hemi for motivation. Started on the roll cage using the original center loop and scratched up the rest with still more to go. Also finished the firewall recess to be able to fit the hemi in. Will post progress while I go along. Cheers and thanks for looking Steve
