How did you get the Alclad to look like that brushing it on?

Someone said the method is called dry brushing.

As you know Alclad is mostly clear liquid.

Start by brushing on testors gloss black. I wait 12 to 24 hours before putting on the Alclad.

Then very importantly, ;) don't shake the Alclad. That way you can see how much is on your brush. Put the brush clear down into the Alclad chrome settled on the bottom. A glob of Alclad will rise up with the brush. Swipe some of the Alclad off, on the rim of the bottle. Brush on the Alclad with as much care as the black you put on before it. It doesn't take a lot of practice to get the hang of it. It's a lot like a learn as you go deal. When you are ready to wet your brush again, just dip the clear and rub the brush on the edge of the bottle where you wiped it off before. Once you try it a few times, you'll get the hang of it and throw that Bare Metal Foil away. :)

Thanks for the info, Roger. I'll have to give it a try. :)

R&R resin :)

Bought kit from mighty mouse on ebay.

Modelhaus supplied the rest to finish it.

Thanks Roger.

I am in the middle of converting the 58 to the 57 and am 80% done. I did not know this was offered. Figures, story of my life. I do a complete re-do of a kit, and then 80% into it, I find the thing already done!!!

Thanks for the info.

David
